Why We Like FMR Resources
FMR Resources has secured the right to earn up to 60% of the highly prospective Llahuin copper-gold-molybdenite porphyry project in central Chile. With a large untested Southern Porphyry target sitting 600m- 1,000m below surface and drill-ready targets prepared for Q4 2025, the exploration upside is significant.
Trading at a small market cap, FMR combines a strong discovery opportunity with proven management from Oliver Kiddie’s track record in base metals exploration, and strategic positioning in Chile – the world’s largest copper producer.
With coincidental magnetic, IP and MT anomalies defining a 1.5-2km diameter target at depth, plus backing from billionaire investor Mark Creasy, FMR is perfectly positioned to capitalise on the looming copper supply deficit and potential company-making discovery.
Located in a proven mining jurisdiction with established infrastructure near the world’s biggest copper market, FMR ticks all the boxes for a major development opportunity.
Why Copper?
Global copper demand is set to explode with the energy transition, yet major new discoveries are rare. BHP forecasts a 10-million-tonne annual supply deficit by 2035 – that’s 40% of current global production. The world’s biggest miners are scrambling for copper assets, with BHP recently committing US$13 billion to Chilean copper expansion. Against this backdrop, new high-grade discoveries become exponentially more valuable.

FMR's Project in Chile
What makes the Llahuin opportunity special is the massive Southern Porphyry target, it mirrors the kind of mineralisation that turned Sandfire and Sirius Resources into billion-dollar companies. Located in a proven mining jurisdiction with established infrastructure near Los Pelambres and other giant copper deposits, Llahuin ticks all the boxes for a major development opportunity. The 1.5-2km diameter target sitting deep below surface has not been tested, with only 11 shallow drill holes to date.
The Key Points of Interest
With coincidental magnetic, IP and magnetotelluric anomalies all pointing to the same large porphyry target at depth, FMR is moving fast to test what could be a company-making discovery. The combination of Mark Creasy’s backing, Oliver Kiddie’s proven track record in base metals exploration, and the established Chilean mining infrastructure provides the expertise needed to rapidly advance this world-class opportunity. Drilling is set to commence in early Q4 2025.
FMR in Summary
FMR offers rare leverage to what could be one of the decade’s significant copper discoveries if drilling is successful. While early-stage exploration always carries inherent risk, the target definition, strategic location in Chile’s premier copper district, and looming copper supply deficit create a compelling investment case. The next few months of drilling could prove transformational for FMR shareholders.
